Situation
Dr. Rod Berger, Psy.D. had a finished book with a major publisher and an established professional presence, but no email list, no book marketing infrastructure, and no plan to convert his existing audience into readers and buyers. Everything needed to be built and executed before his launch date.
Diagnosis
A strong platform and a major publishing deal do not, on their own, produce readers or buyers. Without an owned channel to reach his audience directly, without a way to grow that audience ahead of the launch window, and without a media and podcast strategy to extend his reach, the launch would have relied entirely on the publisher’s own marketing and Rod’s existing visibility. Neither was built to convert.
Solution
We built a full email marketing system from zero, giving Rod a direct, owned channel to reach readers. We created and deployed a lead magnet to grow his audience before the launch window opened. We booked multiple podcast appearances to strengthen his author platform and reach targeted audiences, and secured a feature appearance on a CBS Morning Show affiliate, WHNT News 19 in Huntsville, Alabama, which aired in October 2025.
Result
The Narrative Edge reached #1 New Release on Amazon in the Media & Communications Industry category. Rod appeared on the CBS Morning Show affiliate feature and secured multiple podcast bookings across the launch window. He now has a full email marketing infrastructure and lead magnet in place, built from zero and still running.
Results vary based on existing platform, package selected, and implementation timeline.
